Halloween Fun with the Rowells

Pat and I spent this past weekend at my sister Jodi's house and had some Halloween fun. On Friday night we went to Garden Village again with the boys. But this time we went to the petting zoo portion, and I LOVED it.

Check out this goat. The pig didn't even flinch!!!

The next day the boys, meaning Pat, Tyler, Luke and Dylan carved some pumpkins.

They had this donkey at the petting zoo that was just going "BUCK" wild. I only caught a small portion, but I was amazed. I had never heard that sound in real life before!

Thanksgiving in October

This past weekend we had a pleasant visit from Pat's mom. Being married you have to balance both families during the Holidays. The way we have decided to do this is trade off Thanksgivings and Christmas's every other year. This year it was the Koelling's Thanksgiving; however, one of my best friends, Brittanie Cross, is getting married in California over Thanksgiving. Pat's mom, Valerie, graciously changed her plans and came up to visit in October instead of in November.



We went to a really cool place called "Garden Village." It was all set up for Halloween. Also, just by chance Valerie's cousin, Sandy, was in town so we met up with them and had a great time.

When Elmo Came to Visit

Yes! IT'S ELMO!

Isn't this a sweet costume!!! Pat had to rent it for a school advertising project for Nike. Some of you might be wondering how Elmo and Nike go together...leave it to Pat to make that connection.

Pat had the costume for 24 hours so we thought we would make good use of it by scaring some of our neighbors and friends.

Doug was our all time favorite scare. He opened the door and had no idea was to say. All he could say was "Excuse me?!"

Okay, so Elmo really didn't "scare" people but we got some good laughs at the randomness of a giant Elmo knocking at your door. John and Chrissy upstairs thought it was funny.
