Drawing at the MET
This past Friday I was trying to plan a fun activity for the young women in our church. In researching, I thought about doing something fun at The Metropolitan Museum of Art since we live so close to it, but the question was what!? As I delved into it a little bit more I stumbled upon a Friday evening art class, where they provide you instruction, materials and subject matter ALL FOR FREE!
I thought the night was so fun as it was a very casual setting and had people from all different art levels participating. It was even more fun that Pat came since he oversee's the youth in our congregation.
My only wish is that we could have stayed longer. Even though the class was 3 hours long, we only had 45 minutes to draw before we had to get the girls back home. I hope that I am able to go back sometime, as it was so relaxing to sketch and I felt so cultured sitting in the gallery and drawing from the Masters.

What a cool idea!! I would love to have you as my Young Women's leader. That will be a really neat experience to look back on. How many people can say they've sketched at the MET??
