Pat works right next door to a thrift store that has amazing turn over and merchandise. During his lunch breaks he takes a peak and on this particular visit he found this dresser. We loved it and I could see it in bright yellow...
I was going to do more with the paint, but after seeing it with it's hardware I decided to keep it simple.

Oh. my. gosh. That looks amazing! Good work on that. Yeah, keeping the paintjob simple is the way to go...
ReplyDeleteLooks awesome! Joanna said your apartment looks incredible. I want to cone see it! Maybe I'll even get inspired to decorate mine.
ReplyDeletegood job! I love the yellow. That is cool that you can see a piece of furniture and make a great decorating call like that!! I admire that in you!
ReplyDeleteSo...did you submit this to Design Sponge yet?
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to try something like this, but a) how long does it take, b) how do you sand it down without a power sander/do you even need to sand it down, and c) how do you find the space to do it when you have no yard or balcony or anything? Please do let me know, I'd love to follow in your footsteps.
To answer your questions:
ReplyDeletea)It look me a few hours, not long at all but this is because of my answer to question b. b)I didn't sand it! You caught me! I really didn't want all the mess so I thought I would try to just paint it. It ended up being fine however, it wont last if when move. c) I don't have any kids so I just left it in the middle of our living room!
You are great with color! I'm afraid of color. It's a sad truth that I'm trying to overcome! You inspire me to branch out and maybe not paint something black...
ReplyDeleteI love it! You have so inspired me to find some old stuff and update it! you are so creative linds! :)
