| This is not a black and white picture. That is just how bleak it was outside! |
A street right next to us got a beating as almost every tree lost huge branches due to this snow fall. When I was walking a man told me to hurry home because it was not safe out. When I laughed at his comment, he looked at me very sternly and said "I am serious. Go home."

I went and took pictures hoping to capture the magic and beauty that comes with the first snow fall, but quickly learned that it really doesn't work to take pictures when it is still snowing because it just looks like you have a dirty lens. Plus I was drench and freezing. Next time I staying inside and sipping hot cocoa.

LOVE these pictures! You are so talented! I was looking forward to your fall pictures, I hope you still get them. We had our first snow on wed and lost all of our fall colors because of it, now everything is just brown. Every one I know lost branches too (we lost 4) scary!
ReplyDeleteAnd to think we were supposed to go apple picking today...! Ha. Awesome pics!
ReplyDeleteI second Casey's comment! That would've been a disaster! I think your pictures turned out great, because you ventured outside. I tried (quite unsuccessfully) to take pictures from inside my apartment while sipping hot cocoa and they didn't turn out nearly as good as yours. :)
ReplyDeleteYou're not allowed to stay in because then you would be denying us such amazing photos! Love the Randall's Island photo--it's eerily beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAngie! You had the right idea. Why are you always so smart! and Jenny I hope we don't lose all our leaves, this is the one time of year I love NY weather, and if the snow stole that from me I will be majorly bummed.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos!! I love them. I'm a bit jealous Utah hasn't seen anything close to snow yet.
