Halloween Parties as Snuggie Peeps

Let me paint the scene for you...

On Friday, we spent he afternoon helping decorate our ward building for our ward Halloween Party. The time just flew by and before we knew it we only had 45 minutes to make a dessert and to think up a costume. Of course we had a back up plan, but we were not too excited about it.

So we run to Smith's to pick up some ingredients for a dessert. While we were there Pat saw some Snuggies on sale for 11.99. We had to do it! I mean "It's the Blanket with SLEEVES!"

(look how mobile I am...reading a book!)

We have had this on going joke about Snuggies ever since we saw their ridiculous commercials. Even for one of Pat's internships he made an ad about himself (that is what the company's assignment for him) and he made this:

It was funny because we thought we were so unique in our costumes. However, there was another guy at the party who wore a Snuggie and one of Pat's advertising friends dressed up in a Snuggie as well! It was a popular costume this year.

But the best part about our Halloween costume is that you can use it all year. I even took a nap in it today! Definitely worth the $11.99.

But back to the ward party—it was a hit with delicious homemade chili and desserts. Here are some pictures of the great costumes and the party.

(twins!)

Then, as if the ward party was'nt enough of a Halloween celebration, on the 31st we spent the night watching the scary movie "What Lies Beneath" with our friends Johnny and Joanna. Joanna really enjoyed wearing our costume.

  2. Oh my gosh, I'm dying over the Snuggie. And it's even more funny that so many people decided to use it as a costume. The Snuggie cult. Lol. Your pics are great, as always!
