We found out that we did not get the apartment that we have been trying to get for over a month now. It was hard to see that one go as it was such an amazing deal and everything we wanted (hard to come by in NYC). Pat allowed me to pout for a half-hour or so but then I had to get over it so it could be his turn to pout. You see, Pat and I take turns at being upset. We can't both be upset because that would just be bad, so we take turns while the other one looks on the bright side and tries to cheer the other one up. We have a nice system worked out.
Other than that, our trip has been going really well. Yesterday Pat's family met us in Cheyenne Wyoming to eat dinner with us (super nice of them). We are taking the trip slow so we can enjoy ourselves, about 7 hours a day, it's a perfect amount.
What an unpredictable journey we are having—everyday brings about another adventure.
Bummer about the apartment ;( But you will find something and it will be awesome! I promise!
ReplyDeleteHave fun with the rest of your drive. When Scott and I moved out to Georgia, we also took it slow. We have so many great memories from that trip.

Dang it!!! I'm so disappointed about the apt. Can it be my turn to pout? I hope this doesn't mean you're going to live in Queens or Brooklyn. But of course, wherever you're able to find housing that works for you is good!
