Macy's Thanksgiving Parade Balloon Inflation

Tonight Patrick and I headed over to the Upper West Side to see the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade Balloons up-close and personal. I heard about this event about a month ago and have been excited to see these famous balloons before their big premier.

We got a late start on the night because we had to wait for our groceries to be delivered (the only way I am able to keep my sanity in the city). Patrick is also sick, so he was a little weary of trekking "all the way" to the West Side. But hoping the trip would be memorable and worth it, we braved the bus ride, the crowds, and the suddenly colder weather.

We got the inside scoop on how to avoid the lines and the crowds, from Johnny and Joanna, so we were able to quickly make our way to see the balloons. It was so much fun to be apart of this Holiday festivity and to see all the people happy with their families.

We didn't stay long because the event was closing soon after we go there and Patrick was not feeling well, but I am glad we went and were able to see behind the scenes of the Nation's most famous parade.

  1. Wasn't it just such a festive atmosphere?! I loved it, but it would not been worth it to wait in line. I am sorry Pat is sick. That is very sad! No one is allowed to be sick on Thanksgiving!

Tomorrow is gonna be F-U-N! Can't wait!!! I don't think we are going to the parade tomorrow morning, but I cannot wait to hear all about it from you!

  2. I love these pictures! We went too, right after it closed. It sounds like the Galbraiths, you guys and us were all there within an hour of each other, haha. Our pictures did not turn out as good as yours, I think the black and white was a good call. Excited for today!
