So one of my daily morning routines is putting Cetaphil Moisturizer on my face. I really love the lotion it is inexpensive for the quantity you get and you can use it not only on your face, but your body as well. A few months ago I ran out of lotion so I went to Costco to purchase more. However, I was great disappointed after I used it because it seemed that the lotion was very liquidity and it definitely didn't do as nice of job. I was really sad that they changed their lotion!So about two months went by and I continued to use the lotion, but it was really annoying because it didn't seem to moisturize as well. I was sad that I would have to find a different brand as it seemed that they had changed their ingredients.
Then this morning, just like always I put on the moisturizer. Within 5 minutes my face still felt very dry so I put it on again. As I was rubbing it on my face, a little frustrated, I looked at the bottle again and to my great astonishment I read for the very first time:
"Gentle Skin Cleanser"
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh my gosh. I had been putting face soap on my face for the last 2 months. No wonder my skin felt so dry! I felt like such a doofus, but also laughed really hard about it.
But to my credit I didn't even know that Cetaphil made skin cleanser and the two bottles DO look a lot alike, don't you think!?

I had a small bottle of hand lotion in my purse for ALMOST A YEAR. Everytime i'd use it, i'd get p.o'ed because it seemed my hands were even drier..but I was just too lazy too switch it out. Yup, it was body wash. You're not alone.

ReplyDeleteThat is hilarious!! I have the exact opposite problem - I use the cleanser and there have been a couple of times I've put the lotion in my cart only to realize it when I'm checking out so I have to run back and make a switch.
