The Final Pics

I haven't been able to upload the rest of the pictures from David's trip. David totally wore us out when we was here. Usually, people who visit get worn out by mid day because they ware not used to NYC living, but when David was here those roles were totally reversed.

Washington Square Park

I absolutely LOVE when I come across a quartet.
Love, love, love it.

I love this picture of David at FAO Schwarz.

On Friday, August 13th, it was Davids birthday! We celebrated by going to dinner at one of my favorite restaurants in NYC. It is a group of 4 Indian restaurants that are all basically the same. I am not sure if they are all owned by the same people, but when you start going up those stairs, all these guys try to get you to come into their restaurant. It is cracks me up!

Pay attention to the Indian man that gives David is birthday ice cream. I love how he tells him "Happy birthday."

After dinner we headed over to my other favorite restaurant Max Brenner. It is a chocolate restaurant with the most AMAZING dessert EVER! The moment you walk in the doors you are greeted with the aroma of chocolate.

And it looks like David enjoyed the restaurant as well.

The best thing about NYC is the food and the street food is no exception. This is one of the most popular street carts in Manhattan located on 53rd and 5th. The trick to this secret street cart is that they are there from 7:30pm to 4am. There are other carts that are there during the day and look like them, but its not them.

We arrived at 7pm, a half hour before they were even open for business. There were already a few people in line before us. However, we were lucky because by the time it opened the line was already down the block.

I don't know why this food was so good, but it was. I loved it.

I think the secret is in the sauce.

Tip: Use A LOT of white sauce
and a little red sauce for a kick.

We also went to a Japanese restaurant for lunch. We have been using Yelp a lot, and it is amazing how a seemingly "whole in the wall" restaurant is a hidden gem.

We had SUCH a great time with David. We cannot wait until he comes back!

  1. SO fun! I loved the quartet vid at Washington Square Park, and the vid at the Indian place! Sooo great! David looks appropriately embarassed by all the birthday celebrations. I laughed through that video!

Ahhhh i love NYC! You are right, one of the best things about it is the food! You have to eat as much as you can when you visit here, and it looks like you guys did great in that department! :) I just had visitors who didn't want to spend money on food or get too full so they hardly experienced ANY of what the city has to offer! What a shame, the food is one of the best parts!
