This past Saturday Pat and I had so much funwhen our friends, Nate and Ashley,
invited us to go tubing down the Delaware river.
It was an all day event that was such a blast. We had the time of our lives.
Nate and Ashley are our buds. We love hanging out with them!
We did have the VERY occasional turbulence. But this was as rough as it got and those were the exciting times.
Before we got to the river we stoppedand got some underwater cameras. It was exciting to go back
to the days of having to wait to get your film developed.
However, because of the casing on the underwater camera.A lot of my pictures came our blurry like this one of us
eating lunch at the half way point.
They had picnic tables IN the water!
Pat, Ashley and I all lost our sunglasses in the river. But on our way back Ashley saw a girl wearing
glasses just like the ones she lost. Nate went and
asked where she got them and
she found them in the river! So she got her glasses back!
Oh, the miracles on the Delaware!
The river was SUPER shallow the whole time.At any point you could stand up and have the water
go no higher than your chest.
Sometimes we would get separated from each other, but the river was moving so slow that it didn't
take much effort to reconnect.

OH MY GOSH! This looks SO fun! When you told me about this, I couldn't really imagine what it was like. You are in the middle of nature!!! How cool! You are right...Life is good!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like so much fun! Ahhhh all the things I've missed out on doing this summer. The list just keeps adding up. I love your pictures and the underwater camera idea was genius! SO FUN!
ReplyDeleteFOUND IT. this does look fun if I didn't have a phobia of large-ish bodies of water and fish. I'm glad to see you guys were not eaten by anything.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun weekend!! Last summer Todd and I kayaked down the Delaware and couldn't get over how COLD the water was! I pains me to know your butts were in there! Brrrr. :)
ReplyDeleteHow much fun you must have had, especially because the water was warm. I've been tubing before but never for four hours and the water has always been cold. Great pictures.
ReplyDeleteSo fun! I wish I could go!
ReplyDeleteLove this post! You are such a great person that you can't help but have other great people surround you! I love the pics. Even the blurry ones.
