On Saturday, after lunch, we walked along the lower end of the Hudson River. I really love this area. I used to eat lunch with Pat here every day last summer when he interned at another advertising agency. There are cute little benches where you can sit and relax and take in the view. Every time I have been there, there has been a beautiful sunset.
Apparently Pat cannot take a normal picture. I love the guy.
We planned on walking down to the Staten Island Ferry but by the time we walked through Wall Street and got hot chocolate at Starbucks, we needed to go to the Upper West side to Levain Bakery before it closed.
Mmmm. Those look good. I am looking forward to trying YOUR cookies this coming Monday!
ReplyDeleteMan, when people come and visit you, they get a pretty good deal: free lodging AND a free photoshoot! You have major skillzz. That area looks super pretty and relaxing. I'll have to head over there someday when it is not freezing outside.
I can't even talk about Levain Cookies without salivating. And I hate the word "salivating."

So I am really impressed with how much we were able to do in less than 48 hours! I was showing Doug the pictures that you took last night and saying how lucky we were to have such good pics from our trip!! And also, I forgot to tell you that I love that picture that you took of us kissing by that grass stuff!!
ReplyDeleteLove the grassy pic!!! Also, I thought you should know I was inspired by your fantastic Yelp reviews to do some of my own. I did my first review on Levain! Those are some good, good cookies. But I gotta say, they were even better when they were part of the "concrete of the week" at Shake Shack. That was a heavenly time in my life.
